I have read your bug reports and I am working on an update for ProTube and ProTube HD. All the known bugs will be removed, also some new features will be added including facebook share, clear browsing cache and a much smoother interface (more memory caching which leads to faster data loading). The known bugs that will be fixed are:
• 'Bad URL?' error message on some downloads
• Rare 'WebKit 101' error when Streaming a video
• iOS 4 specific UIWebKit HTML 5 layer rendering issue which leads to a crash
• iOS 5 only API which crashes the app on iOS 4 when watching a saved video
• Wrong URL when sharing
• Deleting last video wont enable 'Done' button
• Perhaps other tiny bugs that I forgot to mention :D
Thanks for working on the update, I didn't clarify that it was after I updated (Not sure what I updated specifically but it was the last major essential upgrade thru cydia) and the app itself crashes when I play downloaded videos.
ReplyDeleteI commute daily and like one of the other comment's said it would be awesome if you were able to make the mp3 videos that are downloaded to be played continuously and maybe have a separator for the videos so it doesn't play them as well. love your app and thanks for responding :)
Hi there, since I updated, I'm unable to read any downloaded youtube video. When trying to play a downloaded video, pro tube close it self.

ReplyDeleteFold is great. The only problem is if inteliscreen is active when you unlock it still shows the notifications pulled down.

ReplyDeleteHi I just want to give you an bug I found. When using Unfold, I cannot turn off the alarm like the way I do when using normal unlock screen by just slide to turn it off. Now when I use unfold when I slide it'll just unlock the screen and it will not turn off the alarm.

ReplyDeleteSeveral times a week, multiple times a day even, I will go to download an MP3 off YouTube and I get this "$Error$ConversionAPIFailed$$" or some such and soon after a file will stay converting forever. When I close the app or turn off my 4S, EVERY FILE GETS DELETED. This has happened to me at least 40 times in the last month.
Seeing as I know of no other app to download YouTube videos as MP3s, I am stuck with this infuriating bug. Countless hours I have spent re-downloading a couple hundred songs if I can even make it that far. I literally spent 17 hours almost nonstop June 9th getting the files back and I've lost everything four more times since then.
I've cursed your name, screamed into the night sky because of this.
IPhone4S, iOS 5.0.1, I'm about to kill somebody.
Everytime I exit protube and clear it from my multitask menu it logs me off my YouTube account, when I open it again I'll be logged out. I hope you'll put an update soon!! iPod touch 4g iOS 5.1.1

ReplyDeleteI love this app, and I spend hours on it each day. It would be awesome if you can set a standard resolution. I always watch in 360p to save bandwidth. 240p is too low, and 720p/1080p are too high.

Error 101URL could not be loaded when trying to play vids and push item returned nil value when downloading. Can't wait for the update, please excuse the people who don't know how to be civil. Ipt4g iOS 5.1.1 and iPad 3 iOS 5.1.1 both errors on both devices running Protube and Protube HD respectively. Thanks.

I can't believe you are letting this happen, after I payed for this app! I want my money's worth, so you will fix this immediately or be reported to Cydia for cheating us.
ReplyDeleteCalm down mate, there's version 1.8.4 and version 1.5.4 (for ProTube HD) which fixes all this. So next time you are having issues look for an update before reporting old errors!
